LEUVEN, BELGIUM – APRIL 15th, 2025

Exosens, a global leader in advanced imaging and detection technologies, proudly announces the launch of the Dione XP series under its infrared imaging brand, Xenics. This new long-wave infrared (LWIR) SWaP core camera marks a significant milestone in the group's ongoing commitment to delivering high-performance, compact imaging solutions for demanding applications.

DIONE XP – A New Benchmark in LWIR Imaging

The Dione XP series is a VGA (640 × 480) LWIR camera core specifically developed to meet the increasing demand for Size, Weight, Power, and Cost-efficiency (SWaP-C) without compromising performance. Offering an exceptional balance between high resolution and affordability, it is ideally suited for safety and security markets, as well as industrial and embedded applications.

As the latest addition to Exosens' portfolio of uncooled LWIR solutions through its Xenics brand, Dione XP sets a new standard for image quality and integration flexibility.

POWERFUL FEATURES, COMPACT DESIGN

The Dione XP series integrates cutting-edge image enhancement capabilities, including XLIE (Xenics Local Image Enhancement) algorithms, edge detection, column noise filtering, extended temperature calibration, and automatic calpack switching. These features deliver exceptional image quality and dynamic range, tailored for critical industrial and defense use cases.

Equipped with a 640 × 480 microbolometer sensor and 12 µm pixel pitch, the camera achieves NETD values of 35 mK or 40 mK, depending on the model. Available with or without shutter, the series offers maximum design flexibility to meet various SWaP requirements.

Customers can choose between:
